The downward trend in new Covid-19 cases is consolidating

The indicators of control of the epidemic "are all going in the right direction," Fernando Simón, director of the Coordination Center for Health Alerts and Emergencies of the Ministry of Health, reported yesterday. In the most positive press conference since the beginning of the health crisis, Simón affirmed, with his characteristic caution, that "it is very probable that the epidemic is evolving correctly".
The 6,549 new cases reported yesterday by Health - which correspond to those registered on Saturday - represent a further decrease compared to previous days and reinforce the idea that Spain passed the peak of the epidemic on Wednesday, when 8,578 new diagnoses were produced in 24 hours.
